During his tenure as a government contracting consultant, Ed Tomlin played a pivotal role in fostering valuable partnerships with industry giants such as Leidos. His responsibilities included overseeing the entire spectrum of planning, market research, target selection, strategy formulation, budgeting, and guiding proposal teams.

Tomlin’s influence extended to developing strategic teaming arrangements for subcontractors, joint ventures, and limited liability companies.

Beyond the realm of government contracting, Mr. Tomlin has left an indelible mark in sales and marketing within the Pharmaceutical and Sports Apparel industries. Notably, his tenure with Forest Laboratories and Astra Zeneca involved successfully launching several billion-dollar branded pharmaceuticals in the fiercely competitive Washington Metropolitan market. Furthermore, as the Director of Sport Marketing for Under Armour, Ed played a crucial role in establishing the company’s presence in the cleated footwear market.

Ed Tomlin’s impact in the sports industry is particularly noteworthy, having overseen the scouting, recruiting, signing, and management of Under Armour’s NFL assets during the company’s early stages. His astute leadership resulted in securing key brand ambassadors like Devin Hester, Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie (the first NFL player to don Under Armour cleats in the Superbowl), Vernon Davis, and Patrick Willis, while laying the foundation for enduring relationships with Cam Newton, Deion Sanders, and Tom Brady.

A proud graduate of the University of Maryland, where he captained the football team, Mr. Tomlin remains actively engaged with Maryland and several HBCUs, contributing his expertise to Sports Marketing and Business student programs. His commitment extends to advisory board roles, with a particular emphasis on nurturing relationships with Virginia State, Bethune Cookman, and Hampton Universities.
